Norma Gray

Norma Gamez Gray, A beloved Wife, Mother, Matriarch, Sister and Grandmother was called home to our Heavenly Father on July 19, 2018 at Abilene Regional Medical Center. Visitation will be Monday, July 23, 2018 beginning at 6:00 PM and will be followed by a Prayer Service beginning at 7:00 PM in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5750 Hwy 277 South. Funeral service will be 10:00 AM, Tuesday, July 24, 2018 in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel followed by interment at the Texas State Veteran's Cemetery.
Norma was born on June 24, 1961 in Vernon Texas to Juan and Anita A.K.A (Sara) Gamez, who also proceeded her in death.
Norma Graduated in 1980 from Loraine High School in Loraine, Texas. During High school Norma excelled in basketball, softball, volleyball and was a cheerleader. Norma also was a member of the "Who's Who" among American High school students. After graduating High school Norma moved to Abilene Texas and worked at Day Nursery of Abilene Hendrick Medical Center, Glo Daycare, Walmart, and BlueCross and Blue shield of Abilene.
Norma met her husband, Matthew G. Gray, that was her soulmate, best friend the love of her life in Abilene Texas. Norma dedicated her life to taking care of her family and making sure they were the most important part of her life above everything else. Norma enjoyed traveling with her family from coast to coast in the Continental United States and living overseas in Misawa Japan for over three years. Norma spent many vacations with her loving husband in Las Vegas Nevada and annual trips to Cocoa Beach Florida.
Norma leaves behind a wonderful loving husband, children, grandchildren and loving family that will miss her more than life itself. Norma leaves behind to mourn in beautiful memory by her husband, Matthew G. Gray, Daughter, Desiree D. Holmes and husband Courtney D. Holmes. Sons, Ray Lewis Bellman Jr. and Miles Lee Keyser. Stepson Matthew Raymond Gray and fiancé Miranda Ditmore. Stepson, Ryan Scott Gray and wife Allison Ann Marie Gray. Stepdaughter, Jessica Rae Gray and fiancé Jeremy Michael Colosimo. 12 grandchildren, Courtney D. Holmes (Sugar Bear), Natalia Holmes (Princess Fiona), Julian D. Holmes (Shuggie Shuggie), Kanye D. Holmes (Baby Bear), Sydney Rae Gray, Sadie Sue Gray, Karson Heath Rhodes, Jeremiah Scott Burt, Jayden Wayne Burt, Jordan Matthew Burt, Madeline Marie Gray, Ronan Edmond Gray, Norma' sisters, Juanita Gamez, Romelia Carrillo, Olivia Rivera, Alfonsa Wimer, Marta Moreno, Rosario Doyle, and Melinda McCandless of Abilene Tx. Yolanda Saucedo of Arlington Tx, Linora Warwick of Minnesota, Aurora Smellie of Colorado, Norma's Brothers, Amador Gamez of Abilene Tx., Juan Gamez Jr. of Odessa Tx., David Gamez of Irving TX., and a host of wonderful Nieces and Nephews. Norma, I miss u and will love you for eternity, your loving Husband, Matthew G. Gray.
