Norma Lanford

Norma V. Lanford, 72, passed away June 22, 2010 in Abilene. Visitation will be from 6 till 8 PM on Friday, June 25, 2010 at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South. Her graveside funeral service will be 10 AM, Saturday, June 26, 2010 at Elmwood Memorial Park.

Norma was born July 16, 1937 in Peacock, TX to E. S. Slaton and Vivian Kidd Slaton. She graduated for Abilene High School in 1955 and married James Moritz Lanford on August 6, 1955. She was a member of North Park Baptist Church. She loved her family and friends and will be missed greatly.

Norma is survived by her husband, James a son, Chris Lanford and his children, James, Miles and Amanda of Abilene a son, Andrew Lanford and wife, Lee Ann and their children, Kelly, Connie and Slaton of Abilene a brother, Steve Slaton and his wife Nita of Abilene one aunt, Chloe Sims of Eunice, NM and several cousins.

Norma was preceded in death by, her parents her sister, Ann Blackley a son, Stephen Lanford a granddaughter, Karen Lanford.
