Ouida Mae Waddell, 75, died Tuesday, April 15, 2008 in Abilene. Her funeral service will be held at 2:30 PM on Friday, April 18th at the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5750 HWY 277 South. Viewing and visitation will be from 1:00 PM until service time.
Ouida was born on August 12, 1932 in Waller, Texas the daughter of Limuel Jackson Streetman and Lenora Simmons Streetman. She grew up in Rotan. She lived in Pasadena for a short time and later moved to Anson where she managed Dairy Queens in Anson, Hamlin, Knox City and Rotan. She was a member of the Pioneer Drive Baptist Church. Ouida loved to fish and spent lots of time at her cabin at Stamford Lake.
Survivors include her sons, Terry Waddell and John Waddell both of Seabrook; her grandchildren, Amanda Waddell and Billy Joe Waddell; and her former husband, B.J. Waddell and his wife Frankie of Roby.
