Pablo Romero

Pablo G. Romero, 86, of Abilene passed away Monday, February 1, 2016 in Lubbock.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, February 6, 2016 at 10:00 AM at St. Vincent Pallotti Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Elmwood Memorial Park. Visitation and Rosary will be held Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel.

Pablo was born on September 27, 1929 to the late Scipriano Romero and Setrunina Gonzalez in Golforth, TX. He married Maria Ruiz on February 23, 1953 in Austin, TX. Pablo worked for RE James Gravel Company as a foreman for 45 years until his retirement. He loved to dance with Maria whom he lovingly called his best girlfriend. They had 62 years of wonderful life together until she passed away on May 18, 2015. Pablo enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time with his family. The family takes comfort that he has be reunited with the love of his life and they are once again dancing together.

Pablo is survived by her 3 sons; 10 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; 1 brother many dear family and friends.
