Patricia Suba

Patricia Ann (Reese) Suba was born November 11, 1931, to William Earl and Lena Mae (Eldridge) Reese in Harlingen, Texas. She moved on to her Heavenly home on April 21, 2022.

Pat married James Stanley Suba in 1950. They were married for 60 years and had four children.

She loved to sing and shared her soprano voice at many weddings and funerals. She taught women's Bible classes all over the country and several times at ACU Teacher's Workshop.

Pat and Stanley moved to Abilene in 2008 and she began worshipping with the family at Westgate Church of Christ. She made many friends and had "church babies" whom she loved dearly. In 2012 she moved to University Place where she enjoyed her new community until early 2019. She lived out the last three years at Chisholm Place. She was deeply grateful for the love and care by the staff there.
When asked about her joys, first on her list was her family. She was most proud of the fact that they are all good people.

Pat was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and siblings. She is survived by her children, Lea Kimbrell (Jim), Trish Renfro (Ray) Strech Suba (Lou), JoLyn Shelton; grandchildren, Denver Renfro (Kris), Kyle Kimbrell, Matt Renfro (Ellen), Grady Kimbrell, DJ Iverson (Stacy) and Sarah Schultheis (Joe). She has three great granddaughters, three great grandsons, and one great-great grandson.
There will be a visitation at Westgate Church of Christ, 402 S Pioneer Dr, Abilene, on Monday, May 2, from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. A private family burial will be at the Veterans Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the helpers from Chisholm Place, Kindred Hospice and Hendrick Hospice for their love and care in Mom's last years. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the charity of your choice.
