Paul Davis

Paul J Davis, 88, passed away May 2, 2016 in San Angelo. Visitation will be 12 Noon till 2 PM, Thursday, May 5, 2016 followed by a funeral service beginning at 2 PM in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5750 Hwy 277 South. Interment will follow the service in Elmwood Memorial Park.

Paul was born in Lueders, TX to parents, Jeff and Hattie Bea Davis and attended Stamford High School. He grew up working in the oil field and worked for several years for Roark and Hooker Drilling Company. He later owned and operated Paul Davis Pipe and Supply. He enjoyed being outdoors and had many hobbies such as rodeos, fishing and gardening. Paul also loved dancing, cooking and any activity that involved spending time with his family. He was a kind, wonderful man that will be missed by everyone.

Paul is survived by his wife, Betty; two children, Mike Davis and wife Dianne of Abilene, Paula Simmons and husband Donny of McKinney; two step-daughters, Ellen Lassetter and husband George Shankle of San Angelo, Carolyn Turnbow of San Angelo; three grandchildren, Todd Davis and wife Holly, Stacey Zvokel and husband Kevin, Gregg Simmons; two step-grandchildren, Andrew Lassetter and wife Pam, Adam Lassetter; six great-grandchildren, Emilie, Caroline and Brooke Davis, Mason Simmons, Kaleigh and Kade Grizzle; two brothers, Ernie Davis and wife Sue, Donald Davis and wife Karen; one sister, Rena Tatum; one sister-in-law, Suzy Moore; and special friends, Ralph, Pam, Lauren, and Ryan Porter.

He was preceded in death by his first wife of 53 years, Bobbie; his brother, Charlie; and his parents.
