Paul Doty

Paul Wright Doty, 72, of Abilene passed away January 15, 2021 in Abilene.

Paul Wright Doty was born on July 11, 1948 to Jack Doty and Jean Doty in Abilene, Texas. He graduated from Cooper High School in 1967 and married Sharon Lee Canter that same year. He served in the Vietnam War and came home to work in the family business, Doty Farm Equipment. He enjoyed spending time fishing, hunting, camping, and watching baseball. He loved being outdoors and enjoying nature. He and Sharon vacationed in the Colorado mountains every summer and his favorite place was Yellowstone National Park. He is survived by his wife, Sharon, his sister Jackie, and his three children and eight grandchildren: Sarah Proctor and husband Chris of Abilene, Texas, Jeffrey Doty and wife Traci, of Atlanta, Georgia, and Elizabeth Davis and husband David of Abilene, Texas. HIs grandchildren are Jack, Noah, and Henry Proctor, Seth and Kenzi Doty, and Skylar, Damon, and Aubree Davis.

Graveside services will be Tuesday, January 19, 10:00AM at Elmwood Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hendrick Hospice Care.
