Paula Davis

Paula Kaye Reed Davis, 36, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, June 29, 2010 after a courageous 16 month battle with cancer. Her funeral service with TC Melton and Burtis Williams officiating will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, July 2, 2010 at Calvary Baptist Church, 1165 Minter LN, with burial following in Elmwood Memorial Park. Visitation is from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 HWY 277 South.

Paula was born on February 1, 1974 in Abilene. She spent her childhood in Abilene moving to Lodi, California as a teenager where she later met and married John Davis. While in California, she worked as a nail technician and in 2006 she returned to Abilene where she worked at both Abilene Diagnostic Clinic and Abilene State School. Paula enjoyed crafting and sharing her talents with family and friends. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She loved the Lord and she loved her church family dearly.

Paula loved people and she never met a stranger. Even through her battle with cancer she was always thinking about and inspiring others with her positive attitude and her caring nature.

Survivors include her husband, John of Abilene her parents, Mike and Kaye Reed of Abilene her brother, Evan Reed and wife Annette and their daughter, Rebekah all of San Antonio motherinlaw, Cindy Mauldin of Porterville, California fatherinlaw, Ray Davis of Lodi, California Godmother, Bernice Etter and her son Ron of Abilene and numerous aunts, uncles, brothersinlaw, sistersinlaw, cousins, nieces and nephews and many friends.
