Paula Wilkinson

Paula Harper Wilkinson, 74, of Abilene passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 7, 2021 in Abilene, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Nona Harper, and her two brothers, Max Wayne Harper and George Albert Harper

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at 1:00 PM at the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5750 US HWY 277 S., Abilene, TX. Inurnment will follow at Elmwood Memorial Park.

Paula was born on August 23, 1947 in Wynnewood, OK to the late Joe Harper and Wynona Strickland Harper. She married Jim Wilkinson on September 19, 2011 in Abilene, TX. Even though she and Jim started their lives together late in life, she was very happy to have found her real cowboy. Jim introduced her to horses and she loved to ride. Paula had a successful career as a cosmetologist for many years before retiring and she truly enjoyed interacting with all her clients. During her boy’s high school years she help set hair style trends at the high school.  She loved dogs, especially her two fur babies, Scooter and Gabe. Paula loved being a wife and gave all she had into being a mother and watching her boys play sports while they were growing up. Being a grandmother brought Paula a lot of joy and she dearly loved and wanted to spoil her grandchildren. Paula was a member of the Church of Christ.

Paula is survived by her husband, Jim Wilkinson; sons, Mark Neas and wife Gaylynn, Matt Neas and wife Angela; grandchildren, Taylor Neas, Brooke Neas, Lauren Neas, Luke Neas; Nephews: Joseph Harper and his wife Sandra, Tyson Harper, Clifton Harper and his wife April
