Paulette Lambert, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend, and sister in her faith passed away peacefully on August 2, 2024, surrounded by her three daughters.
Paulette was born to Rebecca and Curtis Smith Sr. on March 6, 1953, in Perla, Arkansas. She married SSgt. Dwight W. Lambert in 1969 and in 1975, moved to Dyess Air Force Base in Abilene, Texas with their three daughters Velicia Arnette, LaKeitha Ann, and Frances. In 1979, she dedicated her life to God as one of Jehovah's Witnesses and began sharing with others the good news about his kingdom. She was a devoted servant and genuinely loved to be in service with those she walked in the faith with and those with whom she taught biblical truths too. Paulette diligently studied the Bible and loved her faith journey; it was her life's work for 45 years until her death. She had a standard of excellence in her secular work and demonstrated a high work ethic whether in her employment in office administration or in domestic home care. She worked hard and humbly took pride in bringing honor to God in everything she did.
Paulette took delight in living a simple and content life. She enjoyed all things 'pretty' and had a flare for adorning and accessorizing anything from attire to living spaces. These traits explain her love and affection for butterflies and the beauty of vibrant colors. She had a giving heart and adored acts of kindness. It was just her to create heartfelt opportunities to bring joyful giving moments to her congregational friends and neighbors.
Paulette was a loving mother who selflessly raised three daughters while serving them a strong example of motherhood built on the foundation of Christianity and love as described in 1 Corinthians 13:4-8, of which her daughters would pass down to her grandchildren, Kaleb Demitry Wise, Kaden Judd Wise, Macy Ross Jameson, Keara Jadyn McFadden, and Cameron Ian Hines. She cherished and loved each of them dearly including her great-grandchildren, Leilani Rose Wise and Avianna Avery Dockins.
Paulette is survived by her three daughters, Velicia Wise (James) of Abilene, TX, LaKeitha Hines (Robert) of Houston, TX, and Frances McFadden of Abilene, TX. Three siblings, Martha Smith of Milwaukee, WI, Curtis Smith, Jr. of Chicago, IL, and Kenneth Smith of Malvern, AR. Grandchildren Kaden Wise, Macy Jamison, and Cameron Hines. Great-grandchildren Leilani and Avianna as well as several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death are her parents, sisters Lavinia Butler, Eileen Smith, Josie Smith, Vanessa Smith, and brothers Odis, Blake, Clark, and Jerry Smith. Grandchildren Kaleb Wise and Keara McFadden.
There is comfort in God's promise to "wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry not pain be anymore".
~Rev. 21:4
