Pauline Baskett, of Abilene, Texas, was born on April 16, 1935 in Roleston Wiltshire, England. Pauline passed from this life on June 26, 2024 at the age of 89. Pauline was the daughter of Joseth and Mabel Walters. Pauline and her entire family worked hard to make ends meet in their earliest years. Pauline was a seamstress until the time of meeting the love of her life, Billy Jack Baskett. They got married on August 17, 1957. They would have celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary this year! After their marriage they moved back to the states, moving to Abilene, Texas in 1959.
Pauline was a housewife who dearly loved taking care of her family. Pauline was very active in her church and was amazing at sending cards, calling folks on their birthdays and anniversaries, and remembering everyones names! Sadly, Alzheimer's slowed down all of that incredible memory. Pauline will be remembered for her love for her physical family and her spiritual family. She loved Jesus dearly.
Amazingly, Pauline found out about a half-brother, Michael Walters in 2022. Also, was privileged to re-unite with her daughter that was put up for adoption in 1956. (Ask the family if you haven't heard this amazing story!)
Her family and friends will miss her dearly.
Surviving family members include her daughter Kathy Hearn of Sussex, England; her daughter Ann Baskett-Winchester and her husband Randy, of Winters, Texas; her son Mike Baskett and his wife Karen, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Pauline has 7 grandchildren; Emma, Ben, Heather, Tod, Hunter, Colby, and Curry. Pauline also has 11 great- grandchildren. Pauline only living siblings are Pam Tomlin and Michael Walters. Also survived by many more extended family and friends. Pauline was preceded in death by her father and mother, 3 siblings, and her grandparents.
