Phillip Alden Heatherly, passed from this life to the arms of his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, August 8, 2012. He was 48 years of age. A memorial service led by two of Phillips loving mentors, Darell Martin and Terry St. Pierre, will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, August 11th at the Highland Church of Christ located at 5th and Highland. A private committal service will be held at Elmwood Memorial Park before the memorial.
Phillip was born on February 3, 1964 at St. Davids Hospital in Austin, Texas and moved to Abilene with his family in 1973. He graduated from Cooper High School in 1982. Phillip was a very loving and caring man who was equally loved by all his family and many friends.
Preceding him in death are his grandparents, John and Helen Heatherly and Darwin and Josephine Setliff.
Survivors are his beloved son, Chase Alden Heatherly his parents, Glenn and Becky Heatherly of Abilene his brother, Ronald G. Heatherly of Dallas niece, Lacey R. Heatherly of Denton aunts and uncles, Jim and Sherri Heatherly of Atoka, Oklahoma and Claude and Meredith Smartt of Ardmore, Oklahoma and numerous cousins in Oklahoma and Texas.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Faith Works of Abilene, Freedom Fellowship co Highland Church of Christ or your charity of choice.
