Pok Kim

Our Lord called home one of his angels on Wednesday, April 7, 2010. With her family by her side, Pok T. Kim ended her journey on earth to spend eternity with our Heavenly Father. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, April 12, 2010 in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5750 HWY 277 South with burial following in the Garden of Hope at Elmwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 2:00 until 4:00 PM on Sunday at the funeral home.

Pok T. Kim was born on May 15, 1928 in Suwon, Korea. She and her husband moved to the United States in 1986 and have resided in Abilene, Texas since that time. Pok was a member of International Baptist Church where she enjoyed fellowship and serving her God. She found great pleasure in gardening and cooking. She had many fond memories of her friendships and her family is very grateful for the people closest to her. Pok T. Kim will be remembered for her joyful spirit, unconditional love for her family and her unselfish ways of putting others needs before her own. She will be greatly missed.

Survivors include her loving husband, Ki C. Kim of Abilene her daughter, Sun Jackson of Abilene her son, Bong Ho Kim and wife Segum of Korea grandchildren, Joy Sierra and husband Dennis of Missouri, Janet Jackson of Abilene, Jihae Kim of Dallas and Unhae Kim of Korea great grandchildren, William, Kimberly and Amber Sierra of Missouri.

The family would like to thank the staff of Wisteria Place for their many years of service and Hendrick Hospice Care for their care and comfort during her final days.
