Ralph Hastings

Ralph Edwin Rusty Hastings, 65, passed away Thursday, April 14, 2011 in Abilene. His funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, April 18th in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5750 HWY 277 South.

Rusty was born on January 31, 1946 in Irving the son of Buddy Hastings and Francyle Lyon Hastings. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1965 to 1969 and received two Vietnam Service Medals and the National Defense Service Medal. Rusty worked over 20 years for Allied Aviation in Fort Worth.

Survivors include his wife Ruby of Abilene two sons, Russell Hastings and Michael Hastings 5 stepchildren, Donald Rowden, Jakie Fletcher, Doreen Langford, Loreen Glaze and Donna Harris 4 brothers, Bobby Don, Danny E., Sammy N., and Billy Jo Hastings 12 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 3 greatgreat grandchildren.

One stepson, Danny Rowden and two brothers, Ronny and David Hastings preceded him in death.
