Randy Scott

Randy Bob Animal Scott, 52, passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2011 in Abilene. His funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, January 21st in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5750 HWY 277 South with interment following in Elmwood Memorial Park. Visitation is from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Friday at Elmwood.

Randy was born on October 13, 1959 in Potter County, Texas and has been and Abilene resident since 1974. He attended Abilene High. One of Randys proudest accomplishments was turning his life around and maintaining 16 years of sobriety as a member of AA. He enjoyed collecting angels.

Survivors include his parents, Janet Cate of Abilene and James Cate of Putnam two sons, Steven Cate who is serving in the Navy at Camp Pendleton, California and Christopher Cate of Abilene his brothers, Ronnie Cate of Bangs and Tony Cate of Abilene his sister, Angela Reimann and husband Glen of Merkel and nephews, Chad and Casey Cate, William Reimann and Larry Tatum.

His wife Candy preceded him in death.
