Raymond (Ray) Biggs passed from this life on Tuesday, August 9, 2016. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, August 11, 2016 at the Mausoleum at Elmwood Memorial Park.

Ray was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on December 19, 1928. He grew up in the farming community of Maysville, Oklahoma. Ray graduated from Maysville High School in 1946 as Valedictorian. After a stint in the United States Army, he attended Oklahoma University, graduating in 1953 with a Bachelor of Science degree.

Ray met and married Jana Jackson of Elk City, Oklahoma in 1957. They had three sons, Steven, David and Kevin, all surviving. In 1965, the couple moved to Corona, California to pursue careers in education. Ray taught for 24 years in the Corona-Norco Unified School District. Ray and Jana divorced in 1985, and he moved to Abilene, where he went into business with lifelong friend, Lee Armstrong. Ray also taught in the Abilene ISD for 10 years. In 1991, he met and married Janey Yardley Moore.

Ray is survived by Janey and her sons, Chris Moore of Abilene; Scott Moore and wife Christi and their two daughters Lauren and Caroline Glaze, all of Montgomery, Texas.
