Richard Lynn Ricky Gwinn, 51, died Saturday, December 15, 2007 in Abilene. His funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, December 20, 2007 at the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5750 HWY 277 South with burial following in Elmwood Memorial Park. Viewing and visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Gwinn was born on December 15, 1956 in Knox City the son of Lewis Virgil Gwinn and Andree Rischard Gwinn. He grew up in Abilene and graduated from Abilene High in 1975. He served in the US Army and had worked as a painter for many years. Ricky loved music, the outdoors, motorcycles and was and avid Dallas Cowboys fan. He was a loving caring person who took great pride in his work and his family. He touched many lives and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Survivors include his wife, Debbie Gwinn of Abilene; his children, Jessica Collins and husband Larry Gonzales, Justin Gwinn and wife Gretchen, and Bryan Gwinn all of Abilene; his parents, Lewis and DeeDee Gwinn of Abilene; brothers, Bobby Gwinn and wife Yolanda, Gary Gwinn and wife Tammy both of Abilene; grandchildren, Gunner Gonzales, Lenzi Gonzales and Madison Gwinn; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
An infant son, Aaron Lynn Gwinn preceded him in death.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Make A Wish Foundation.
