Richard Juarez Sr., our beloved father, husband, Pawpaw, and friend, left this world peacefully at his home in Fort Worth, TX on Friday, March 29th, 2013 at the age of 65. He was born June 11th, 1947 in Abilene, TX to Marcelino and Martha Juarez.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his older brother, Marcelino Juarez Jr. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Rebecca Loza Juarez. He also leaves behind three children his son Richard Juarez Jr., of Fort Worth, daughter Connie Juarez Torres, of Abilene, and son John Manuel Juarez, also of Fort Worth. Richard is also survived by his younger brother, Armando Juarez, in addition to six grandchildren, seven greatgrandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, family members, and friends.
Richard was a loving husband who devoted his entire life to taking care of his wife, and the couple was looking forward to celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on August 16th. He enjoyed cooking meals for his family, and his Sunday morning breakfasts were a favorite to all who were privileged enough to enjoy them. In his spare time, he loved fishing, bowling, playing with his greatgrand babies, and trips to Winstar World Casino. In his last days, he fought the cancer that would eventually take his life, but he was a fighter to the end. His family would like to encourage everyone who knew him to come celebrate his life, and gather in his memory.
