Robert Hall

Robert J Hall, 80, of Abilene, passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2017. Visitation will be 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Friday, May 19, 2017 at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South. His funeral service will be 2:00 PM Saturday, May 20, 2017 in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow the service in Elmwood Memorial Park.

Robert, son of William and Quindonell Hall, was born in Abilene, Tx on January 10, 1937. He graduated from Abilene High School in 1955. After High School he attended ACU and played the trumpet in The Big Purple Band, where he met the love of his life Alice Ragle. Robert and Alice married in 1958. Robert and his father owned Abilene Nursery and he spent many years working there. He also worked ten years for Timex. Later he trained and became a security guard, working for Lockheed Martin and the courthouse in Abilene. He was very loved and will be missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents, William B Hall and Quindonell Kirby Hall.

Robert is survived by his wife, Alice; his two daughters, Tricia Phillips and her husband Brian of Benbrook, Tx, Cynthia Simmons of Abilene; his sister, Marisue Meyer and her husband Chuck of Abilene; his brother, Clifford Hall and his wife Gayle of Granbury, Tx; and several nieces and nephews along with their families.
