Robert Keppel

Robert "Bob" James Keppel, 85, of Abilene passed away Thursday, June 2, 2022, in Abilene.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday June 8, 2022 at 10:00am at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery at Abilene, 7457 W. Lake Rd. Visitation with family will be held Tuesday June 7, from 5:00-7:00pm at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 US Hwy 277 S. Abilene.

Bob was born on October 15, 1936 in McKees Rocks, PA to the late John Keppel and Mary Repetski Keppel. Bob married the love of his life, Judith Hufnagel on Aug 12th, 1961 in McKees Rocks, PA. He proudly served his country in the US AIR FORCE for over 23 years until his retirement in 1979. He was a master mason and member of lodge 599 and went on to attain the Scottish Rite Degrees.

Bob was an avid golfer who has played all over the world and recently celebrated his 5th Hole in One this year.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Jack (Priscilla).

Bob is survived by his wife Judy, and by his children, Kirk Keppel (Kimberly) and Scott Keppel (Amy) and niece Trudie Keppel.
