Robert Bobby Reyes, 57, of Abilene, died Saturday, May 10, 2008 at a local hospital.
A wake service with a rosary will be at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, May 12 at Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel with Rufus and Connie Palacios officiating, 5750 Hwy 277 South; a visitation will follow until 8:00 p.m. Funeral mass will be 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 13 at St. Vincent Pallotti Catholic Church, 2525 Westview, Abilene, with Father Michael Rodriquez and Pastor Sam Segundo officiating; interment will follow in Elmwood Memorial Park.
Bobby was born on September 1, 1950 in Sweetwater, TX to Frank and Lydia Reyes. He graduated from Sweetwater High School and then he attended Texas Tech University where he received a bachelors degree in accounting with a minor in engineering. Bobby loved to hunt, and was a big fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the Mavericks. He married Leticia Garza on July 7, 2007 in Abilene.
He is survived by his wife Leticia Reyes of Abilene; daughter, Erica Reyes of Grand Prairie; father, Frank Reyes of Sweetwater; brother, Ray Reyes and wife, Yolanda of Sweetwater; sister Cynthia Jones and husband, Jerry of Duncanville; stepchildren, Lee Hernandez and wife, Ellese and Prisma Hernandez and husband Byron Blake; grandchildren, Selene Reyes, Sierra and Donovan Martinez, Nathanial, Nevaeh and Nathalia Hernandez; and many other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother Lydia Reyes.
Serving as pallbearers will be Roman, Richard and Gabriel Reyes, Byron Blake, Lee and Sergio Hernandez, Jr.
