Robert Smith

Robert Lee (Bob) Smith passed away Sunday, August 16, 2015 in Abilene.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, August 22, 2015 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at the family residence. All family and friends are invited.

Bob Smith was born April 24, 1933 to Ras and Loretta Manley Smith in Bryson, Texas, Jack County. Graduated from Bryson High School and Mid Western University in 1954.

Bob joined the United States Army in 1955 and was discharged September 1957. Bob married Patsy Rutherford on October 30, 1959. Bob retired from Dresser Atlas after 35 years of work. He was on the board at the Expo Center and worked the West Texas Fair and Rodeo a number of years. He is survived by his wife Patsy, daughter Deborah and Rick Koch of Leonard, Texas, son Barry and wife Kelly Smith of Abilene, Texas, three granddaughters, Alli and Daniell Koch of Leonard, Texas, Marissa Hepler and grandson Mark Hepler of Abilene, Texas, and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins

Bob was precede in death by his parents, three brothers; Ardis, Doyle and Rondell, two sisters Nell Doll and Eva Sharp.
