Robert Weaver

Robert "Bob" Kimmel Weaver, 82, of Abilene passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2019 in Abilene.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at 10 AM at Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Elmwood Memorial Park. A visitation will be held Tuesday, May 21 from 6 to 8 PM at Elmwood Funeral Home.

Bob was born on August 17, 1936 in Scottdale, PA to the late Roy Wayne Weaver and Martha Kimmel Weaver. He served his country in the US Air Force during the Korean war. Bob married Joyce A. Lawrence on January 5, 2008 in Abilene. He was a longtime member and Elder of Abilene Christian Church. Bob was an avid Pittsburg Steelers fan and enjoyed golfing and woodworking. He was a bit of a philosopher and was always reading at least 3 books at a time. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Bob is survived by his wife, Joyce Weaver; children, Eric Weaver and wife Tammy, Jason Weaver and wife Brittany; 4 step-children; 4 grandchildren; 9 step-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Nevada Phillips and Alice Kelley; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
