Rockney Von Coke, 59, passed away on Saturday, May 21, 2011, at Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene, Texas.
Rocky was born on September 28, 1951 in Hobbs, New Mexico. He became a Christian when he was 10 years old at First Baptist Church in Tatum, New Mexico. He met Kathleen Louise Wilson, from Texas in Casper, Wyoming and they were married there on July 11, 1970. They moved to Texas shortly after they were married.
Rocky received a BA in Accounting in May 1974 at Tarleton State University. He was an accountant for many years and retired as a goat rancher.
Rocky is survived by his wife Kathy of Abilene his son, Dr. Rob L. Coke and his wife Heidi of San Antonio his daughter, BobbyeJo Evon Crouch and her husband Charles of Carrolton his grandchildren, Matthew Thomas Coke of Waterville, New York and Elan Elise Coke of San Antonio his mother, LaVonne Elizabeth Coke of Abilene his sister Yolanda Ray Decker and her husband Oscar of Austin his inlaws, Bill O. and Bettye Jean Wilson and his sister inlaw, Judy James all of Palestine, Texas his brother inlaw, Bill E. Wilson and his wife Linda of Florida and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A graveside service will be held in Plains, Texas on Tuesday, May 24, 2011, at 2:00 pm in the afternoon.
