Ronald Edward was born on March 23, 1943, in Lebanon, Missouri, to Foy Edward Willis and Bernice Irene James Willis. On December 8, 1998, he married Donna Willis and together they created a legacy that will carry on for generations to come.
Ron was most known for being a preacher of the Gospel, spreading the word of God as an Evangelist. He loved to teach the Bible every chance he got. He was a generous person always willing to help anyone in need, even giving shelter and hospitality as the need arose. Ron loved reading his Bible, even multiple times from Genesis to Revelation and memorizing many passages.
His beautiful tenor voice rang out loud and clear over the years, singing with his family while growing up, and also, throughout his life in various church singings in his adult years. Southern Gospel Music was his favorite pastime that kept his toes a tapping. He was a brick layer by trade from his youth up, working hard in the construction field for several decades. In his later years, he and Donna bought an insurance agency, serving their community & surrounding areas well.
Bow Hunting, Fishing, Photography and working on old cars & trucks were also some of his hobbies.
Above all, Ron loved the Lord Jesus Christ and his family and friends. He will be deeply missed.
Ron is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Jerry Willis, Carroll Willis, and Chester Willis; sisters, Glenda Garner, and Pat Freeman.
Ron is survived by his wife, Donna Willis; sons, Eddie Willis, and wife Lindy, Gaylan Hess and wife Cindy; daughters, Rhonda Willis Hudson, and husband Glenn, Lanaee Brooks and husband Jesse, Kyra Tooke and husband Jason; grandchildren, Kadison Willis, Karissa Willis, Tim Hudson and wife Sarah, David Hudson, Tamra Hudson, Chris Hudson, Katie Hall, Kirby Gibson, Ryan Tooke, Blake Tooke, and Madeline Tooke; great-grandchildren, Paisley, Stoker, Everlee, Eleanor, and Elizabeth; and his brother, Hugh Willis and wife Gloria; as well as numerous extended family and friends.
"There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: that the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit."
