Ronald Hart

Ronald Leroy Hart, 84, passed away on Thursday April 3, 2025, in Abilene, Texas. A graveside service will be held on Monday April 7, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Elmwood Memorial Park, 5750 Hwy 277 South, Abilene, Texas.

Ronald was born in Electra, Texas on March 29, 1941, to his loving parents Henry and Jerry Hart. He served in the Navy during the Vietnam War for about a year, but he did not fight in the war his job in the Navy was a currier. After he left the Navy, he moved to Panama City Beach and then he lived in Atlanta, GA. He moved back to Abilene, Texas in 2011. Ronald had a cocker spaniel named Dixie that he loved dearly. Ronald is going to be missed deeply by all who knew him.

He is survived by his sister, Linda Harshberger and her husband Rafe; and his caregiver of 4 years Sabrina Batten. The family would like to thank Sabrina for taking good care of Ronald.

He is preceded in death by his father, Henry Hart; his mother, Jerry Hart; his nephew, Scott Bowlby; and many other family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers the family has asked that all contributions be made to Meals on Wheels.
