Ronald Gary Murdoch passed away unexpectedly in OK, on 09/08/2022 at the age of 81, while having a few fun days away with his cousin. He was a life-long Texan, only living out of state during his military service. Gary was never one to complain, he was always ready to have fun, laugh and smile. He was known for his beautiful ice blue eyes and strawberry blonde hair.
Gary is survived by his wife, Isabel Murdoch of Ft. Phantom, TX, they were married on Jan 1, 1992 to present. He is also survived by his three children; Lisa Caperton, Greg Murdoch, Angie Murdoch and his grandchildren; Brian Spears, Elizabeth Brewster, Kaylee Sanchez, and his 7 great -grandchildren. He was a loving son; brother, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, cousin and friend.
He was born in Gorman, TX, on March 30, 1941 to RG Murdoch and Hazel Gray Murdoch. After leaving High School in Kermit, Texas, where he was a gymnast and a boxer, he joined the Air Force and served for 21 years as a Military Policeman in the K-9 Unit and retired as a Master Sergeant. Gary honorably served in the Vietnam War in 1966 - 1968, and was stationed in Korea, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Texas.
During his healthy years Gary was an avid outdoorsman. He loved, fishing, boating, camping, hunting and gardening, barbecuing and he was famous for his fish fry's. He loved his "toys"... cars, boats, campers; ATV's, guns, and often had several at a time. He loved spending time on his farm hunting and planting. Some of his favorite trips were out west to New Mexico, Utah and Colorado and he loved spending time on the Texas Gulf Coast. He enjoyed being with his cousins, Joe Glenn, Bobby and Bruce Gray. He was extremely patriotic; he was proud of his children and loved his family so very much. He will be deeply missed by his friends and family and all who knew him.
