Ronnie Anderson

Ronnie Lee Anderson, 75, of Caddo, Oklahoma passed away Tuesday, November 6, 2018.

A funeral service will be held Monday, November 12, 2018 at 12:30 PM at the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery at Abilene. Visitation with the family will be held Sunday, November 11 from 6 to 8 PM at Elmwood Funeral Home.

Ronnie was born to the late Aubrey Leonard and Goldie Elizabeth Ellis on July 9, 1943 in Norton, TX. He was raised by the late Alfred Floyd Anderson and Goldie at their home in Big Spring. He enlisted in the United States Navy on June 9, 1961, as a missile technician aboard the aircraft carrier USS Kitty Hawk after graduating from Big Spring High School, and served until 1964. Following his service in the Navy, he attended Howard County Junior College where he majored in Business Administration. Ronnie married Ellen Mae Fitzpatrick on March 1, 1975. In 1980, Ronnie reenlisted in the US Army National Guard and served until his retirement in 2002. Ronnie and Ellen loved to travel and go camping. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and tinkering with anything mechanical. Spending time with his grandchildren was a major source of his happiness. Ronnie was a lifetime member of the NRA and a member of VFW Post 6873 in Abilene, TX. He was also a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Atoka, Oklahoma.

Ronnie is survived by his loving wife, Ellen Anderson; 5 children, Stephanie Ruth Wilkins and husband Jerrel, Stephen Brett Anderson and wife Tera, Stacy Lynn Stokes and husband Ronnie, Jason Floyd Anderson and wife Heather, Elizabeth Louise Garner and husband David; 12 grandchildren, Ethan Hammonds, Ross Anderson, Zoe Anderson, Khloe Anderson, Riley Stokes, Reagan Stokes, Kaylee Garner, Cameron Garner, Abby Ellison, Emma Ellison, Maggie Walker, Lexie Garner; 4 siblings, Brenda Frazier and husband Joe, Donald Anderson and wife June, Billy Anderson and wife Faye, Janice Stroup and husband Wayne; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, family and dear friends.
