Ronnie Harrell

Ronnie Harrell was born October 9, 1959 in Abilene, Texas. Funeral Services will be 11:00a.m. Thursday, March 31, 2016 at New Fellowship Baptist Church, 1142 Tracy Lynn St, Abilene, Texas; Burial at Abilene City Cemetery in the Masonic Section; Visitation will be 5:30 p.m.to 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at New Fellowship Baptist Church, 1142 Tracy Lynn St Abilene, Texas.

In his spare time, Ronnie could be found doing crossword puzzles or making, listening and dancing to music- his passion. Ronnie also sought ways to enjoy conversing with others and be around family as much as possible as declining health placed him in numerous nursing homes over the past three years.

Mr. Harrell is preceded in death by his father the late Lewis T. (Shorty) Harrell and most recently his mother Doris Marie (Harrell) McBride and two aunts, Ruby Mae Canada and Janie Louise Beaver, both of Wichita Falls, TX.

He is survived by his five siblings- Thomas Edward Harrell, Danny Christopher Harrell and Jacqueline Marie (Harrell) Beaver all of Abilene, TX. and Phyllis Catherine Harrell and Reggie Lewis Harrell both from Killeen, TX., He is also survived by his great-aunt, Annie Bell Harris of Burkburnett, TX. and great-uncle, Sylvester Curtis Williams Sr. of Wichita Falls, TX., one aunt, Rosie Bell Smith of Detroit, Michigan and an uncle, Willie Cecil Beaver of Wichita Falls, TX. 16 nieces, 6 nephews, 7 great nephews, one great niece, and a host of other cousins and relatives.

Pallbearers for Ronnie Harrell are Christopher (Buddy) Phillips, Shavodrick Beaver, Terance Edmond, Larry Payne, David Spells and Jesse Turner, with honorary pallbearers being Sylvester Curtis Williams Jr. and Melquayvous (Quay) Walker.

The family wishes to thank everyone that have sent any condolences by way of words of encouragement, flowers, sympathy cards, phone calls or visits and a special thanks those that have sacrificed and traveled to be in attendance for Ronnie's home going celebration. May God continue to bless each of you and your families!
