Rosita Overholtzer

Rosita Y. Overholtzer, 87, passed away Wednesday, February 18, 2015 in Abilene.

A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, February 21, at 9:30 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Rev. Robert Bush officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Memorial Park. Rosary and visitation will be held Friday from 5 to 7 PM at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 US HWY 277 S. Abilene, TX 79606.

Rosita was born on May 10, 1927 in Iloilo Philippines to the late Silverino Yolores and Consirsia Solmio Yolores. Rosita married John Overholtzer in 1957 at Clark Air Force Base, Phillipines. They had a wonderful life together and enjoyed spending time fishing and traveling. He preceded her in death in September 1997. Rosita was a homemaker, and was known for her good cooking and caring for her family and others young and old who needed her. She also loved to play Mahjong, and was a member of the USPFO (United States Philipino Friendship Organization). Rosita was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Rosita is survived by her son, Manuel Dacumos and wife Rebeca of Abilene; grandchildren, Jack Dacumos and wife Lolita, James Dacumos, Debra Ganacias, Diana Moreno, Dora Kirkconnell and husband Louis; numerous great grandchildren; nephew, Harry Naldoza and wife Theresa; many more nephews, nieces and friends.
