Roy Scarbrough

Scooter Scarbrough, 53, passed away Monday, September 15, 2008 in Abilene.

His funeral service will be at 2:00 pm Thursday, September 18th in Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5750 Hwy, 277 South. Visitation will be from 5:30-7:30 pm Wednesday, September 17th at Elmwood Funeral Home.

Roy was born on December 7, 1954 in Pampa, TX to Roy and Ann Scarbrough. The family moved to Abilene soon after his birth where he graduated from Abilene High in 1972. After graduation he began his career as a consultant in the oil field industry where he was able to own and operate his own consulting business. Roy was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Eastland, and loved to spend his free time hunting.

He is survived by two children, Jacob and Rachel Scarbrough of Albany; mother, Ann Scarbrough of Abilene; one sister, Sharon Kemp and husband Kayo of Abilene; several uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces and many friends.

Roy was preceded in death by his father, Roy, and his brother Ronnie.
