Ruby Hastings

Ruby Ausborn Fletcher Hastings passed away Sunday, March 24, 2019 in Abilene. A visitation will be 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM Thursday, March 28, 2019 at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South, Abilene Texas. Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Friday, March 29, 2019 at the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel.

Ruby was born August 6, 1948 to Earl and Lola Ausborn in Hobbs New Mexico. Ruby worked for Nice and Clean Laundry and Abilene Regional Medical Center and enjoyed her work. She was a strong woman with a kind heart. She loved shopping, flowers, dogs, and hummingbirds but above all she loved her family, especially the grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ruby was very loved and will be dearly missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Jake Fletcher; husband, Ralph Hastings; and her siblings, Richard Ausborn, Bob Ausborn, and Robert Ausborn.

Ruby is survived by her children, Jakie Fletcher, LaDonna Harris and husband Danny, Doreen Langford and husband Donald, and Loreen Glaze; stepchildren, Michael Hastings and wife Stephanie, and Russell Hastings; grandchildren, Kevin Harris and April, Kelly Harris and Darrin, Katelyn Harris and Vincent, Jonathan Langford, Justin Langford, Jenna Langford, Brandon Glaze and Lana, Nikki Rowden, Cody Rowden, and Morgan Hastings; 14 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
