A few years after Orie's passing, Ruby came to Rowlett, where she enjoyed a full and loving life with her daughter and grandchildren. Ruby, like her mother Della, loved to show her love via her cooking. They were equally blessed with the skill of desserts and breads.
Survivors include her sister, Muriel Angel of Winters; daughter, Carolyn Fisher and son-in-law Richard; granddaughter, Rhonda Elkins; great granddaughters, Ashleigh and Whitney Elkins of Rowlett, Texas; daughter, Beverly Brod and son-in-law, Cecil; grandsons, Jake and Josh Brod of El Campo, Texas. She has many happy memories of nieces and nephews.
