Sally Melton

Sally Ann Melton, 65 passed away Sunday January 25, 2015 in Abilene.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, January 31, 2015, Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM Friday, January 30 at the funeral home.

Sally was born May 17, 1949 in Flint Michigan to Irving Butler and Shirley Woods Butler. Sally met her husband Robert when she was selected by the Federal Bureau of Investigation to begin her service in 1972. She married Robert Melton September 15, 1972 in Rockville, Maryland and remained inseparable throughout their life. In addition to the FBI Sally was a proud member of the Army Reserves, and the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation. She was incredibly proud of her years she worked for the BCBS in San Angelo and Abilene, Texas. Her friends in Abilene were her great comfort and joy.
