Scotty Jones

Scotty DeWayne Jones, 44, passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2011 in Abilene. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, May 7, 2011 at the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5750 Hwy 277 South.
Scotty was born on March 6, 1967 in Dallas, TX. He attended high school in Mesquite and college at Tarrant County Junior College. He was a Master Plumber and worked for the cities of Abilene and Merkel as an inspector for several years. He enjoyed music and loved to spend his time playing instruments. Scotty loved spending time with his son, thought he was a barbeque expert, and was a sports fanatic, always cheering for the Rangers and Cowboys.
Scotty is survived by his six year old son, Charles his father, Jerry Jones and his wife Mary of Clyde his mother, Linda Miller and her husband Joe of Seven Points, TX his very close friend, Gayla Swindle two stepbrothers, Christopher Ruiz and Alexander Ruiz one stepsister, Jennifer Ruiz grandmother, Bonnie Huddleston of Ft. Worth two uncles, Mike Watson and Gary Bare two aunts, Sharon Banhart and Sue Davis Several cousins and close friends.
He was preceded in death by, one brother, Christopher Dion Jones grandmother, Mary Fain Bare Oliver grandfathers, Charles W. Jones and Johnnie J. Bare.
