Sergio Moriel Jr.

Sergio Moriel Jr., 31, of Dallas passed away Sunday, December 5, 2021, in Dallas.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 13, 2021, at 11:00 AM at Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5750 US HWY 277 S., Abilene, TX. Interment will follow at Elmwood Memorial Park. A visitation will be held on Sunday, December 12, 2021, at Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel.

Sergio was born on May 12, 1990, in Dallas, TX to Sergio Moriel Sr. and Ann Marie Garza Moriel. He graduated from Graham High School. Sergio proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy and went on to attend Ranger Junior College and McMurray University before graduating from Grand Canyon University. He was an excellent golfer and played for the Texas state Championship for Graham as well as McMurray University’s golf team. Sergio was very ambitious, loving, and humble. He carried with him a deep faith in Christ and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Sergio is survived by his parents, Sergio Moriel Sr. and Ann Marie Moriel; sisters, Antionette Moriel and Brianna Moriel; grandparents, Ignacio and Rosario Moriel, Enedena Carrillo; Aunts, Arlene Garcia and husband Horacio, Lori Adams and husband Tony, Dina Moriel; uncles, Paul Moriel and wife Rosie, Ceasar Moriel and wife Rowena, Louis Moriel, Carlos Moriel, Jose Moriel and wife Melanie, Adrian Moriel, Mark Garza; nieces, Alaeha Martinez and Arianna Gonzales; best friends, Cory Franklin and Brian Bernal.
