Shanda Lynn Ritchey born May 3, 1955, at Lackland AFB in San Antonio, Texas was peacefully joined with her savior on August 6, 2020.
A visitation will be held Monday, August 10, 2020, from 6:00 to 7:30 PM at the Elmwood Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 11, 2020, at 10 AM at the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Elmwood Memorial Park.
Shanda always brought joy and laughter to those who knew her best. She touched the lives of everyone she met. Shanda was known for giving special gifts to her family members. She loved her family, stuffed animals, playing with the dogs and cats, and had a special love for playing bingo. Along with her love for bingo, Shanda had a love for kids. She will be sorely missed by all that knew her. Her heart-melting personality made her truly one of a kind.
She was preceded in death by her father Sam Ritchey and her stepfather Harvey Himly.
She is survived by her mother Frankie Himly, brothers Scott and wife Debbie, Frank and wife Carolyn, and Rick and wife Rhonda as well as numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to be made in honor of Shanda to Abilene Animal Shelter or Mesa Springs Healthcare Center.
The family would like to thank the countless people that loved and cared for Shanda throughout her life.
