Shari Sanders

Shari Dee Sanders, 62, of Abilene, Texas sadly left us on Saturday, July 20, 2024;

Memorial Service will be Saturday, August 24, 2024 at 2:00pm at Elmwood Funeral Home 5750 Hwy 277 South.

Shari Dee Sanders was born in Breckenridge, Texas on July 22, 1961, to parents Dementris and Patricia A. Sanders. She graduated from Breckenridge High School in 1979. After high school, she attended and graduated from Aladdin Beauty College in Abilene, Texas. Her love for styling hair and barbering lead her to begin her working career at Abilene State School in the salon for 20 plus years. Shari enjoyed bringing joy and happiness to others with her skills and talent for making them look good. After leaving the state school, shortly thereafter she continued her cosmetology working career for Betty Hardwick Center, Arcadia Abilene Behavioral Health, as well as ResCare.

Shari was a longtime member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Abilene.

Our Sister will lovingly be remembered as a devoted Aunt, Cousin, and Friend who was unique and genuine in her own right and could wear any hair color or style and would make it her own. She left an indelible mark on those who loved and knew her personally. She will be greatly missed because those who touch our lives stay in our hearts forever.

Shari was preceded in death by her parents, Dementris and Patricia A. Sanders. She is survived by her brothers, Ricardo D. Sanders of Irving, Texas and Tony A. Sanders of Las Cruces, NM. Her sisters, Thesia A. Sanders of Arlington, Texas and Lisa A. Williams of Arlington, Texas.
