Sheila E. Hodges, 81, passed away in Abilene, Texas on July 28, 2020. A visitation will be 12:00 PM – 1:30 PM Thursday, August 6, 2020 at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South. A funeral service will be 11:00 AM , Friday, August 7, 2020 at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South.
Sheila was born May 3, 1939 to Gilbert and Jennie Revette in Malone, New York. She met and married the love of her life Robert Lee Hodges Jr. and the couple enjoyed many years of marriage until Roberts passing in 2009. Sheila was a servant of her time and volunteered at the Dyess Airforce Base pharmacy for 20 plus years and Hospice of Abilene for 10 plus years. She also was a member of an Ostomy Group. Sheila’s life was one spent taking care of her family and community. She will be missed dearly and forever in our hearts.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Hodges Jr.; and many siblings.
Sheila is survived by her children, Alicia Thompson, and Aaron Hodges (Kevin Parker); her grandchildren, Jared Thompson, and Benjamin Thompson; her sister, Glory Hurd (Charles Hurd); and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
