Shirley Norstrum

ABILENE, Texas - Shirley Ray Tarver Norstrum, 81, passed away Sunday, May 7, 2017. Visitation will be 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM Saturday, May 13, 2017, at Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel 5750 U.S. Hwy 277 South, with a funeral service following at 3:00 PM. Interment will follow the service in Elmwood Memorial Park.

Shirley spent 23 years as a U.S. Navy wife living in Maine, New Hampshire, Virginia and Texas. She retired from Abilene State School, loved her neighbors, family and her beloved dog, Amy, very much

Preceding her in death were her husband, Lee Norstrum; parents, Fred Tarver and Rosa Ingram Tarver; four sisters; and one brother.

She is survived by her children, Gwenlyn Burnett, Rhonda Morris and husband Jesse, Ricky Burnett and Ray Burnett; her Brother, Gerald Tarver; and several Grand-children and Great Grand-children.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Broadview Baptist Church, 2500 South 27th, Abilene, Tx. 79605 or to Hospice of the Big Country, 4601 Hartford Street, Abilene, Tx. 79605.
