Skipper Rodriguez

Skipper Horn Rodriguez, 28, joined her Savior in Heaven on Friday, November 25, 2009. Her funeral service with Bishop Rob Nichols officiating will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, November 30th in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5750 HWY 277 South with burial following in Elmwood Memorial Park. Visitation is from 4:00 to 6:00 PM on Sunday at Elmwood Funeral Home.

Skipper was born on October 28, 1981 in Del Rio where she lived through most of her childhood. After moving to Abilene, she graduated from Abilene High School in 2000 and later attended West Texas AM University. She married David Rodriguez on September 12, 2005 in Abilene and was a homemaker. She was a talented Poet and loved shopping.

Skipper loved life and people and had a vivacious outgoing personality. She accepted Christ as her personal Savior in her youth and it is a comfort to know that Heaven is her new home.

Survivors include her husband, David Rodriguez of Abilene; her parents, Larry and Melody Horn of Abilene; Grandparents, Finley and Skip Horn of Friendswood and Dorothy Farmer of Abilene; her brother, Wayne Horn of Abilene; her sister, Kassi Horn of Abilene; nieces, Hannah Tessa Horn, and KK Brister; nephew, Cade Ross; Aunt, Vickie Farmer of Abilene; Cousins, Candice Brister and Leighton Brister of Abilene; Father and Mother-in-law, Wiley and Jane Rodriguez of Abilene; and numerous other relatives and many friends.

Her daughter, Klassi Kay Horn, Aunt, Kelly Farmer Hutchinson, and Grandfather, James Leo Farmer preceded her in death.
