Sue Brown

May 16, 1940 — February 5, 2022

After almost 21 years of dealing with the effects of Parkinson's our beloved wife, mom, grandmother, and great grandmother, Sue Ann Brown, passed away peacefully to be with the Lord on February 6, 2022. She was 81 years of age.

Sue Ann was born in Lampasas, Texas on May 16, 1940, to her parents Jack and Mamie Sue Gibbs. She was a graduate of Monterey High School in Lubbock, Texas. She also attended Texas Women's University in Denton, Texas with a degree in special education.

Sue Ann met her husband, Paul, while both were attending Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. They were married on August 28, 1959. Together they had 4 boys; Greg, Scott, Stephen and Matthew. Sue Ann and Paul enjoyed 62 wonderful years together.

They were full time missionaries with Campus Crusade for Christ from 1986 to the present time serving and living in Germany, Hungary, Romania, Russia, and other former Eastern bloc and Soviet countries. They made Abilene their home in 2001. Her love for her home and the joy she got from decorating were only surpassed by her love for the Lord and her family. The sharing of God's love to public school teachers in various countries thru the ministry of the International School Project; and teaching the Word of God thru Precept Ministry's Inductive Bible Study, were two of her great desires and joy. She lived a full life with great devotion to her family and friends.
