Teddy Pool

Teddy L. Pool, 90, passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2022 in Abilene, Texas. A visitation will be held 10:30 AM on Friday, May 6, 2022 at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South.
Ted was born April 15, 1932 to Clifford and Lyda Pool in Kerens, Texas. His family moved to Tyler, Texas after Ted had finished 2nd grade. Ted graduated from Tyler High School in 1951. On December 6, 1952 Ted married his high school sweetheart Patsy and Ted began working for the largest Telephone Company. Within a few months of beginning work, Ted was drafted into the Korean War serving with the 2nd Division, 9th Regiment, E Company of the U.S. Army. He returned home after his two-year of duty was complete. The couple decided to make Abilene their home in 1963. After a 32 ½ year career with the telephone company, Ted retired in 1988.
Ted's family was the source of his pride and joy and why he always worked so hard to give them all he could. He and Patsy were dedicated members of Elmwood West Methodist Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Lyda Pool; his wife, Patsy Pool; and his brother, Clifford Harold Pool.
Teddy is survived by his children, Randy Pool and his wife Marsha, Brent Pool and his wife Cori, and Stacia Wicker and her husband Philip; his grandchildren, Ryan and his wife Lindsay, Rustin, Tarynn, Tucker, and Garrett Pool and Hunter and Hailey Martin; two great grandchildren; his sister in law, Jean Pool; and several family members, and cousins.
