Teresa Rangel

Teresa G. Rangel, 80, of Abilene passed away Wednesday April 1, 2015 in Abilene.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday, April 7 at 10 AM at St. Frances Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Elmwood Memorial Park. A rosary and wake will be held Monday at 6:30 PM at Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel.

Teresa was born on June 11, 1934 in Crystal City, TX. She was the seventh of ten children born to the late Manuel Garcia and Virginia Coueso Garcia. Teresa married Juan S. Rangel and from that union came 10 children. Juan preceded her in death on June 10, 2001. Teresa was a very good mother and friend. She worked hard at many jobs and was a homemaker. Teresa was a member of St. Frances Catholic Church.

Teresa is survived by her sons, Jerry Rangel and wife Doloris of Abilene, Chris Rangel and wife Mary of Abilene, Felix Rangel of Dallas, Jimmy Rangel of Abilene, Martin Rangel of Abilene, Tommy Rangel and wife Isabel of Abilene, Joe Rangel of Abilene; daughters, Mary Tijerina and husband Domingo of Abilene, Sandra Rangel of Abilene; numerous grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; 13 great-great grandchildren; brother,Victor Garcia; sister, Lucia Garcia; favored nephew, Jesse Guevara; many more dear family and friends.

Teresa was also preceded in death by a daughter, Cynda Gonzalez and a son, Juan S. Rangel Sr.
