Terry Allsworth

Terry Dean Allsworth, passed from this life into the arms of our Heavenly Father on Sunday, June 10, 2011 at Hendrick Medical Center after a brief illness. His funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, July 14th in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5750 HWY 277 South with burial following in the Garden of Faith at Elmwood Memorial Park. Visitation is from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Wednesday at Elmwood Funeral Home.

Terry was born to Ralston Ross and Hattie Allsworth on January 24, 1947 in La Junta, Colorado. He moved to Abilene, Texas in 1981 where he met the love of his life Rhonda Elaine Gilbreath whom he married on June 11, 1982 in Lawton, Oklahoma. Terry was employed by Baker Concrete and Construction Inc. where he worked as a heavy equipment mechanic.
Terry had an avid love for all kinds of motorcycles, Nascar racing, family, friends and his beloved dog Pete who traveled with him everywhere he went.

Survivors include his wife Rhonda of Abilene his mother, Hattie Saban of Canon City, Colorado daughters, Abigale Jean Shoup and husband Carl of Grand Junction, Colorado and Elaine Guerrero of Abilene sons, Tommy and Timmy Gilbreath both of Abilene brother, Tommy Allsworth and wife Mary Ann of Higby, Colorado sisters, Kathy Reed and Marilyn Allsworth both of La Junta, Colorado grandchildren, Jody Darlene Slater and husband James, Brittany Christine Guerrero and Michael Guerrero all of Abilene, Dakota Lynn and Arizona Paige Gilbreath of Amarillo great grandchildren, Serenity, Tristen and Isiah Adams all of Abilene.

Terry was preceded in death by his father, his son, David Aaron Allsworth and a nephew, Jeff Reed.
