Terry Fomby

Terry Marlene Fomby, 62, passed away Saturday February 3, 2018. Visitation will be 5:00PM - 7:00PM, Thursday, February 8, 2018 at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South. A Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Friday, February 9, 2018 in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow the service at Elmwood Memorial Park.

Terry was born July 7, 1955 to William Morgan and Patricia Arnold. She grew up in Annandale, Virginia. As a child she found a love for dancing and did ballet all the way through her high school. She attended the University of Tennessee and in 1973 met the love of her life Michael Fomby. Michael and Terry married December 29, 1975 and traveled the world together with the military. She was a fine military wife and the couple raised two beautiful daughters during their marriage. She recently retired from TDCJ to be a full time Meme. Terry loved to read, shop and give to others. She adopted secret Angels every year at Christmas. She was a giving and selfless person that touched many lives for the better. Above all she loved her family and was a wonderful wife, mother, meme, and friend. She was dearly loved and will be deeply missed.

She is preceded in death by her father in law, Evan Don Fomby.

She is survived by her husband, Michael Fomby; two daughters, Dorie Nichols and husband David Jr., Jessica Connell and wife Shirley; one step daughter, Jennifer McDonald; her mother and stepfather, Patricia and Richard Hill; mother in law, Doris Fomby; fifteen grandchildren, Casey, Cody, Chelsey, Catie, Karissa, Makayla, Kalia, Kimberlee, Judah, Christian, Evyn, Ashtyn, Maryah, Noah, Trey; great grandkids, Audree, Neveah, Kally, and Angel; two brother in laws, Buddy Fomby and John Mantooth and wife Janice; sister in law, Elaine Dockery and husband Bill; numerous nieces and nephews; and many many friends.

The family would like to thank the staff at Hendrick ED, the CCU staff, and Clyde Citzen EMS for all that you did for our mother and family.
