Thelma Hansen

Thelma Faye Hansen, age 80, of Early died Saturday, May 10, 2008.

She was born on August 30, 1927 in Haskell, Texas to the late William and Sophie Thane. She was married to Charles W. Hansen on August 16, 1944 in Anson, Texas. She ws a former secretary-treasurer of Fair Park United Methodist Church and later an active member of the Avoca United Methodist Church in Avoca, Texas until her retirement in 2002 when she and her husband moved to Early. She formerly was an active member of the Pink Ladies Hospital Auxiliary in Stamford.

She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Pam and Henry Lopez of Stamford and Candy and Stan Crawford of Early; four grandchildren, Christy Meinecke and husband, Dale of Comanche, Dana Manning and husband, Brian of Flower Mound, Tifnee Reed and husband, Justin of Stamford and Steven McNeill of Stamford; sister and brother-in-law, Hettie Lou and Jay Davis of Farmers Branch; 8 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Norman L. Thane and a grandson, Brian Gaye Carwford.

She was a wonderful wife, a great mother, Granny and great grandmother as well as a sweet sister and aunt. She will be greatly missed by those who loved her.
