Thelma Urquhart

Thelma Urquhart, 83, passed away Sunday, September 6, 2015 in Huntsville, TX.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel with Jeff Reid officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Memorial Park.

Thelma was born on February 22, 1932 in Merkel, TX, to the late Johnny W. and Ethel Barbee. She married Ernie Urquhart on September 4, 1959. He preceded her in death on October 24, 1995. Thelma worked for many years in retail and retired after 20 plus years from Sears & Roebuck. She was a member of Pioneer Drive Baptist Church.

Thelma was also preceded in death by siblings, Lavada & husband Royce Springate, Wanda & husband J.P. Holsey, Robbie & husband Edd Black, Donald & wife Clydean Barbee, Charles Barbee, & brother-in-law Edgar Head.

Thelma is survived by her daughters, Missy Cronin & husband Joe, Debbie Allen & husband Jeff; granddaughters, Madeline Cronin, Caroline Cronin, Mackenzie Allen, & Delaney Allen; siblings, sister, Ouida Head, & brother, Johnny D. Barbee; sister-in-law Leta Mae Barbee, and numerous nieces & nephews.

A special thank you to the staff at MRC Creekside in Huntsville, for their wonderful love and care of our mother over the past 3 years.
