Thomas Edward Cranor, 65, of Abilene passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at his home. Tom was born March 5, 1958, in Casper, Wyoming, to the late Aubrey B. and Ruth Eileen (McKinzie) Cranor. Tom is survived by his brother, Daniel Cranor and wife Michelle (Prewit) Cranor with niece, Kacee of Abilene; his sister, Mary (Cranor) House and husband Shaun of Batavia, Ohio with nephews, Jack and John, and his niece, Anna.
Tom graduated from Cooper High School, where he played tenor saxophone in the band. He graduated from TSTI, in auto mechanics. Tom worked at General Dynamics, Lockheed Martin, and Bridgestone Bandag. He attended Wylie Christian Church where he served as an elder, on the board of directors for three years, distributed weekly communion, and he loved being the groundskeeper. He also enjoyed playing the guitar with the Praise Team at WCC.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 31, 2024, from 6:00 till 8:00 pm at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South. The funeral service is 2:00 PM, Thursday, February 1, 2024, at Wylie Christian Church, 6250 Buffalo Gap Rd, Abilene, TX.
