Thomas "Tommy" Henry Trinkner,73, of Abilene, TX, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 7,2022 in Abilene with his loving family by his side.
Tommy was born on April 24, 1948, in Milwaukee, WI to the late Major Henry George Trinkner US Army (Ret.) and Josephine Dorothy Danhueser Trinkner. He graduated from McMurry University with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration and was a member of the Kiva Fraternity. Tommy enjoyed life and was known for his quick, witty humor, strong will, and his giving nature. Throughout his life, his hobbies included bowling, fishing, and watching baseball. His pride and joy was his only son, Jeff, until September 2020 when he gained the title of Grandpa to his first and only grandson, Tate. Tate brought a whole new level of joy to Tommy's life.
Tommy will be deeply missed by his son, Jeff Trinkner and wife, Tiffany; grandson, William Tate Trinkner; siblings, Carol Bennett, Nancy Sisco, Tony Trinkner and wife Sherrye, Charlie Trinkner, Sharon Davis; extended family and dear friends.
Pallbearers will be Travis Hartgraves, Jim McAden, Paul Lenker, Charlie Trinkner, Tony Trinkner, and Chris Terry.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 17, 2022, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Elmwood Funeral Home Family Center, 5750 US HWY 277 S., Abilene, TX.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 18,2022, at 11:00 AM at the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Elmwood Memorial Park, Garden of Peace.
The family wishes to thank the hospice care nurses at Hendrick Hospice Care for their compassionate care of Tommy during his last days.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorial donations to Hendrick Hospice Care of Abilene.
